PCBA DEVELOPMENT

Develop the control system around your product.

Nuopuen’s healthcare electronics work covers circuit development, PCB design, embedded software, communication protocol definition, prototypes and PCBA production. Start with a functional brief or discuss the next stage of an existing design.

01

Hardware development

Define power, signal, interface and dimensional requirements for the board and its integration into the device.

02

Firmware & communication

Develop embedded control software and define communication protocols within the agreed product architecture.

03

Prototype to PCBA production

Prepare prototypes and testing around agreed requirements, then progress to the confirmed production scope.

Three ways to frame the electronics brief.

Starting pointUseful inputScope to agree
A new product conceptRequired functions, power supply, interfaces, dimensions and expected volume.Circuit and PCB development, firmware, communication and prototype work.
An existing designAvailable technical files, known issues and requested changes.Design review, modifications, software changes and validation responsibilities.
A design ready for productionCurrent design revision, BOM, build data and test requirements.Manufacturability review, sourcing responsibilities and board production acceptance.

Define the technical handover before development.

For PCBA projects, the deliverable list depends on the work commissioned. Device-level mechanical drawings apply when structural design is part of the project.

Technical materialDelivery scope
SchematicsCircuit documentation for the agreed project scope.
PCB filesBoard design files included in the agreed technical handover.
Bill of materialsThe component list for the agreed design and revision.
FirmwareFirmware deliverables defined in the project agreement.
Mechanical drawingsStructural drawings for the agreed product design scope.
Source codeAvailable only by separate agreement; not automatically included with firmware delivery.

Information that helps us evaluate your project.

  • Application and operating functions.
  • Power supply, output requirements and protection needs.
  • Board dimensions, connectors, sensors, display and other interfaces.
  • Firmware functions and communication protocol requirements.
  • Prototype quantity, expected production volume and target schedule.
  • Target markets, intended use and required test documentation.

Include only requirements already known. Open questions can be resolved during the initial scope discussion.

Firmware delivery and source-code delivery are different.

Firmware can be included in the agreed handover. Source code requires a separate agreement. Define licensing, access, modification rights, maintenance responsibilities and handover milestones as part of the commercial discussion.
